I've found that not being as active now has turned my learning in a different direction. It took me quite a while to get more computer literate. Then, because I was doing photography as a hobby, I began learning photoshop. It has a learning curve without end. (Our computer geek son said no one ever learns everything about photoshop because it's so complex - not even the experts)...Along with that, I have a new program called "xara photo and graphic designer"   which has a lot of the microsoft office components, but also more. I like it a lot. After downloading the manual, I am plowing through the instructions on page 9...only 497 left to go...LOL
Then there are all the by-products of computer lore for people like myself who do everything with a manual....from virus removal programs to slideshow presentations.
It's all tied into photography, which is tied into family, so I'm sure this is going to be a life-long experience. Never boring, always something new.

Are the pictures on a drive, or physical prints?  I know with physical prints, you just use your printer's scanning software and save them in your computer's picture folders.  I've been doing this with the pictures I got when Mother died, then putting them up on FaceBook for my sister and her family.
