IKiplingers Magazine has a table including a map of all the states and which ones are the most tax friendly. It includes taxes on retirement income, real estate taxes and sales taxes. It also includes the approximate tax levels. here is the link:http://www.kiplinger.com/tools/retiree_map/. Good luck with it. I n Response to Tax Friendly States: Does anyone know of a site or fiels that would show the overall tax burden, Retirment Income, Property Tax, Sales Tax, etc by state for retirees in additon to the type of taxes impacted? I'm interested in a file that would contain the data so that I a see total tax burden ranking, the contents and be able to view each state side by side Posted by jhbell4794 |

TX for that article. I have some friends who are moving to Pennsylvania to retire, since the state offers low taxes, and gives an incentive to senior volunteers! http://www.kiplinger.com/tools/retiree_map/index.html?map=14#anchor Here is the Kiplinger's list of TEN BEST STATES FOR RETIREES

That is a helpful map. Thanks for posting it. But, I would like someone to explain to me how the casinos can be given tax breaks, while so many of us are struggling, and the country has enormous debt! Why do our tax laws even allow these tax appeals?? What insanity this is! Atlantic City is borrowing money to pay for the tax appeals of the casinos??? How does this make any sense? http://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/communities/atlantic-city_pleasantville_brigantine/taxpayers-will-pay-as-atlantic-city-borrows-to-cover-casino/article_17b787d8-fa11-11e1-9e2a-001a4bcf887a.html Gary Indiana, http://www.indianaeconomicdigest.net/main.asp?SectionID=31&SubSectionID=64&ArticleID=66226 Maryland: http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2012-08-13/news/bal-house-panel-guarantees-higher-tax-breaks-to-casino-owners-20120813_1_baltimore-casino-hollywood-casino-perryville-tax-rate |
