Last wk. I rec'd a cell phone call from a strange cell phone #.  The person, saying his name was Iassac, told me I was eligable for a free home senior citizen safety equipment.  It included the neck pendant, and all the set up equipment.
RED FLAG!  He starts asking me for my personal information,  I was uncorrpertive and he asks me different information questions.  Yes,  I should of hung up.  I asked him for the name of his company.  He said a company I never heard of before.  He asked me more questions.  I ended up asking for his phone #.  No response.  I asked him again saying I'll call him back.  He wouldn't give me a #.  I said to him,  "That's okay,  I've already got you on my caller ID,"  He quickly hung up.  I truly believed I was a targeted senior citizen.         Now, several days later,  I got an alert from Yahoo, saying someone using a cell phone in Turkey had tried to use my password and open my Yahoo acct.  at 4:00Am EST.  Thank God Yahoo catch this.  Instantly I changed my password along with all my other important passwords.  I am at the point of quiting facebook and never joining another social network.   No matter how careful I am people on facebook can still get your information.

Hello, congratulations on recognizing a scam early enough to protect yourself!  Your story made me think of the following article that relates to what you experienced.  Many scams keep coming back, even after being publicized.

Yes I just got a call now on Saturday, 3-30-2013 at 11:50 AM. I answered three times with "Hello" and then a male came on to say that because I had participated in a job survey several months ago, that he wanted to verify some personal information about me in order to link me up with job opportunities. I did look at a couple of job websites in the past, but not several months ago. So it is likely a scam in my book!
