Hello, I see your point and I believe it is a valid one. You should communicate online using the websites of your Senator and Congressman. All you need to do is fill in a web form to locate the proper official by giving your Zip + 4 code and maybe your address. Then you will be directed to the appropriate website. You can use www.senate.gov and www.house.gov to locate your officials. There will be a Contact Me link on their websites and you can then give more contact details for you and explain your issue. They should respond via email to you to acknowledge receipt and they may even call you if you give a telephone number. You may also receive a signed letter from your official addressing the law and insurance issues you bring up. You should also contact your state insurance commission because it may have more influence over your insurance carrier. The state agency may even recommend improvements to insurance laws that will give you more options and protections for your circumstances. Don't forget your representatives in your state general assembly, who help make and pass laws about insurance company practices. They may also have influence that can help you. R |
