mk1954Christian@gmail.com, I put that in so anyone can email me. I do NOT know what to think about AARP. I thought it was a place for people to get answers and help with SS and other issues, but the blogs I am reading including the most recent one makes me feel like I am being scammed like several other people who trust this site. This site is supposed to be so informative, yet I agree that if you have a problem or not a resolution, you get guys on the line that want to get into a merrygoround of arguements with the guys defending AARP and making you feel like you did something wrong. My impression? they are never wrong, at least thats how the guys handle issues. But they want you to take surveys about "how are we doing at AARP, what do you think of our service" honestly? too many people to confuse the situation and one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing or did, that kind of issue. One person should be able to handle one problem and not have to transfer you all over the place to people that you have to repeat the problem, or you get someone who says, well, I dont know why that person told you that, that is not the answer, well, doesn't the other person get trained like you do to know how to answer and solve the problem, then the familiar computer generated response, Im sorry that happened, how can I help you. Before long you feel like your talking to robots, programmed to respond in ONE certain way, and ALWAYS an appology, enough appologies, can you fix the problem or not. I thought AARP was there for you. Then they ask for a renewal of subscription. Honeslty, subscriptions are supposed to last for a while. I really hate throwing money away. I DO NOT THINK AARP REALLY WANTS TO BE BOTHERED WITH HELPING CUSTOMERS MUCH, THEY SEEM TO BE IRRITATED WITH IT AND ARGUMENTATIVE SHOULD YOU SUGGEST THEY MAY HAVE MADE AN ERROR, THEY ARE QUICK TO POINT OUT THAT YOU HAVE THE PROBLEM, NOT AARP, THEY DONT MAKE MISTAKES. That's what I have found during several different phone calls with them. CAUTION, AARP MAY HAVE AN ISSUE WITH IDENTITY THEFT inside AARP, IT MAY HAVE HAPPENED TO ME, IM STILL LOOKING INTO IT. JEANNETTE PHILLIPS WAS THE PROBLEM, SHE CHANGED MY LOGIN INFO WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. IT WAS A MESS, I COULD NOT ACCESS MY OWN ACCOUNT FOR THE LONGEST TIME, I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY, THEN I HAD TO CALL AND I FOUND OUT WHAT HAPPENED. ALL MY PERSONAL INFO CHANGED BY JEANNETTE. WHY? FIRST THEY DIDNT HAVE HER ON STAFF, THEY DIDNT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON, THEN THEY HAD HER ON STAFF, AND DIDNT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON, AND OF COURSE, MY ERROR. NOT THEIRS. I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS WITH AARP |

Complaints and Concerns and Issues about AARP Grassley asks AARP about misleading marketing of product called health insurance http://www.grassley.senate.gov/news/Article.cfm?customel_dataPageID_1502=17963 Behind the Veil: The AARP America Doesn't Know http://waysandmeans.house.gov/uploadedfiles/aarp_report_final_pdf_3_29_11.pdf The report also details the Democrats’ health care law’s significant cuts to Medicare Advantage (MA) and how the interplay in the marketplace between MA and Medigap will increase Medigap sales. This will have a direct, significant, and positive impact on future profits at AARP. Also troubling is the report’s central finding: The Democrats’ health care law, which AARP strongly endorsed, could result in a windfall for AARP that exceeds over $1 billion during the next 10 years.
