In Response to Advice: In the past year most of my family has died. Now my father age 78 and I are about all thats left. He lives 1000 miles away. What sort of papers should I have for my medical care etc.? Who should I give them to? I am 62 and still working. Posted by lcbarker A durable power of attorney for finances and possibly health and a healthcare power of attorney and living will for healthcare decesions during life. A HIPAA and DNR may also be helpful. A will or living trust can help with the transfer of assets after death. Evan Guthrie Law Firm 164 Market Street Suite 362 Charleston SC 29401 843-926-3813 |
