I do not have a credit card and didn't think I would ever need one, even for the convenience.  I have found, however, since I have retired and am now on a limited income that a credit card would be helpful to get me from one SS check to the next.  I would like to have one that would provide a limited credit line  of no more than $100.00.  This would allow for any extra or misc. expenses until I get my SS, at least this was what I was finding was necessary.  The thing is my credit is not good and I am not sure any banks have such an option.  Does anyone have any suggestions or knowledge about the above options.

It is the basic requirement to have the credit or debit card at present time. It facilitates to use the services and pay via credit cards even online or through telephone mode. Isn't it comfortable for you?

You can get what is called a "secured credit card".  You deposit with the issuing institution a sum of money and that is how much credit they will give you.  As you pay the balance off monthly, your credit will get better and after a while you can request either another card with them or someone else and get your security deposit back.
Wells Fargo and Capital One are they ones that I know of that have the better secured card plans.  You should not have to pay a huge fee for this setup or monthly..

You can check bankrate.com for the best credit card rates:

I like USAA for banking, but, you have to be a member. Credit Unions are good, and offer the best service. CapitalOne is a rip off, and will charge you high rates.
