In Response to Re: Don't Clip Coupons, Click Them: Hello All, I am new here so I apologize if this question is/was asked elsewhere. I am curious to know how others feel about new mobile phone applications that promise to save you additional dollars above the normal club card type of savings. Here is my example; Safeway has a new application called "just for u". It is advertised on our local radio station as saving users an additional 10-20% over club card savings. I was a loyal customer until I became aware of this. I don't own a mobile phone nor do I wish to in the future. I feel disrespected because I have been a loyal customer and now I will get the opportunity to pay more for my groceries simply because I do not have a mobile phone. My next thought was "what percentage of AARP members own/use mobile phones?" I ask because I am curious to know if these new programs strike others as odd or unfair, or, am I truely a dinosaur as my children suggest? Posted by jaynemae You can go to the Safeway website and print out the same coupons directly from the site, or have them emailed to you. I just did it to make sure. Also, they may have these same coupons at the store - ask a manager. |

In Response to Re: Don't Clip Coupons, Click Them: The Safeway J4U program is also available on your PC. Go to safway.com, register if you haven't already, and then click products you want. Electronic "Coupons" will be added to your Safeway card. The J4U price will be charged UNLESS the sale price that week is less. I get some good deals on things I normally purchase, like red bell peppers for $0.89 each. My only pet peeve is if the coupon is for a brand name, you will NOT get double coupons (where available). So I only select Safeway brands from J4U and rely on print coupons from newspaper flyers or print at home internet coupons from coupon/manufacturer web sites. Hope this help. Happy Savings!!!
