In Response to Re: Other Retirement Cities to Consider:: Grass Valley, CA in the Sierra Foothills - A haven for retired folk. Lots of cultural events, music, art, dance, theatre, community college, family-owned stores. This town caters to its senior citizens. There are more senior citizens living in our county (Nevada County) than any other county in California. No Wal-Mart here. We protect our family-owned businesses. Only a couple of hours from Lake Tahoe, Reno, or San Francisco. Posted by Ana0418 Sounds very interesting. We have been looking at Arizona, but so much seems to be going on out there. We both love the the west coast area. |
