While doing research on caretaker I stumble into this new article and would like to post it here to warn all caretaker to be careful. Being a caretaker is no fun because we have to help friends/family member to get them back to good health if they are sick. It is a hard job but it seems there are people out there who love to take advantage into these subject and in fast pace come forward and attack people who is experiencing hard time. Here is a story about a family in new york city residing in the village section of (I think manhattan) where a couple is caring for their 2 year old kid hoping he recover his cancer illness. Immediately their landlord took the advantage of the family in crisis and boosted their rent double so they cannot afford their home anymore and move out. This is very nasty. It is not surprise this family is not the only family being attacked while in such crises I am sure there are more story on people worst than in their situation. Here is one story for now. also for all who live in New York or the East coast beware of this they may be your next new landlord or anyone usa and world wide you may end up renting from them without knowing about it. An article like this found on the internet as free and public record is not illegal to post it here to help other caregivers. The other concern is if one person or one business can do this and get away with it others may or will follows their footstep. Therefore all caregiver please be careful. don't think I am safe I am ok anyone can risk a attack. The posting of this newly article found here is to warn and let all caregiver, seniors etc...to be alert and be careful. Do not let yourself to become someone's next victim. http://evgrieve.com/2012/10/despite-plea-landlord-doubling-rent-on.html |
