We are trying to find an active adult (over 50, prefer no kids, no smoking, quiet, no maintenance type of place)
community.  It is rather difficult to try to find places.    Does anyone know of realtors that specialize in this
type of community nation-wide?  Thanks

Hi,

I don't think any one agent can specialize in adult communities across the country but they do specialize in a particular county or area. I'm a Realtor specializing in adult communities in Central NJ. My website covers over 150 communities throughout 3 counties including homes for sale in each community. Check it out here:

http://www.55Plus-Housing.com

There are several 55+ community directories on the web if you do a google search. The best one I like is:

Hope this helps you in your search for 55+ communities.

I can help you find an affordable home in sunny southern California...near the beach!
Send me a note and I will be happy to give you more information.

I agree with David, you need to find a realtor who specializes in a small region or town. The scope is far too big for one agent to understand the national market.  My suggestion would be to narrow down your search to a few states, then narrow down to towns from there. Visit some of the ones most appealing. When you are there you will find realtors who specialize in the 55+ market.

Another good place to start is in this Directory, which gives reviews of potential retirement towns and the active communities in or near those towns.

And of course if you google active adult communities in (name of state, or name of city), you will quickly find the specialists. Good luck!

I will re-locate to the Portland, OR area in a few months because of son's transfer.
Can anyone recommend a community outside Portland where I might find an
affordable apartment?

Thank you.

Anyone know of retirement communities in the Washington state area? Looking for mobile home rentals only. SeaTac Airport area as my wife still works part-time.

Most of our searching only seems to dig up homes for sale. Not inbthe market to purchase.

Thanks for any help.
