In Response to United Healthcare medicare advantage REWARDS FOR 4 SCREENINGS: rec'd brochure with forms for wellness exam, mammogram, colon cancer, glaucoma screening to be completed by member and doctor, along with results of various lab tests. Completed forms to be returned to UHC in order to qualify for Visa debit card for $40 total for all 4 screenings. Does anyone know why UHC is doing this? Posted by lilac37wine I have United Healthcare coverage and its fantastic but i don't know why they do this for me- MY GUESS IS THEIR THE GOOD GUYS.

Posted by Rob1952Roy I'm not on medicare yet so I don't have experience with the UHC plan. Would you do it on your own if this coverage wasn't there? Just want to know where health checkups/test are in your priorities. |

Posted by lilac37wine It's not exactly new.....but maybe in other states it is.... as I have been learning all along. I have been getting these screenings free-- since 2002 when I went on Medicare Advantage in FL. I also get reimbursed for $800 that I pay into Part B. And I haven't paid for any drugs so far but all my drugs are on Tier One anyway. Interesting enough is the fact I have a friend who has been paying a premium to bc/bs and uses the same doctors---same medical facilties as I do and pays more. |
