Did you see this Consumer Report article? "Lipitor goes generic—but still no bargain" This link is to the Consumer News on Consumer Reports.org on November 29. 2011. I have no idea what the price is for their Lipitor or the generic since my mom is taking another generic. You might be able to do a comparison on the Medicare D website for those offering a plan in your area to see the extent of the price difference. Most likely until the generic gets up and running in production, it won't be the generic cheap that we often hear publicized. As for your other question - Congress investigated them and questioned the same non-profit classification but I guess they got by - FOR NOW. |
