In Response to Re: Proposed Medicare Cost Increases: Do you have any evidence of this? Perhaps a link to a credible media outlet? Or are you just posting an anonymous email that someone sent to you? Yeah, that's what I thought. Posted by iKilian Should be somewhere in the thousands of pages of ACA few ever read! |

I don't have any comments on the YouTube cartoon that Rellif keeps posting over and over. But check this page on www.factcheck.org: http://www.factcheck.org/2011/04/premium-nonsense-on-medicare/ www.snopes.com has another repudiation of the scare tactic rumor. It is a bit more complicated article because it starts with the COLA rumors but ends with the same conclusion as FactCheck did. You can find the Snopes article here: http://www.snopes.com/politics/socialsecurity/cola.asp Both FactCheck and Snopes are good sites to check the facts behind the rumors that are always floating the online world. |

In Response to Re: Proposed Medicare Cost Increases: My 80-year-old father is saying the same thing, about the cost of Part B hitting $250/month in 2013 or 2014. This must be some kind of Internet misinformation, so does anyone really know. It sounds totally impossible. Posted by cdstx I replied to this post with the following but I'm not sure anyone saw it. I had no responses. So I'm trying to send it directly to you. Here's my reply: I don't have any comments on the YouTube cartoon that Rellif keeps posting over and over. In Response to Proposed Medicare Cost Increases: The per person Medicare Part B insurance premium will increase from the present monthly fee of $96.40, to: $104.20 in 2012; $120.20 in 2013; and $247.00 in 2014 according to the Obama Healthcare Bill. This bill was endorsed by AARP. What can be done to offset the increased costs noted above, while taxation, inflation and other costs of living for Senior Citizens increase? These are provisions incorporated in the Obamacare legislation, purposely delayed so as not to 'confuse' the 2012 re-election. Send this to all seniors that you know, so they will know who's throwing them under the bus.
