Is anyone else experiencing this?

So I got a call from my pharmacy that as of January 2013 , the coverage for my prescriptions has changed and that I need to contact the white house, oh i mean medicare , althouogh it is easier to get through to the white house than medicare.

They are telling me something about having to pay out of pocket $500+ deductible per month for my medications.

I am writing this on behalf of my mom who just turned 65,  does this information sound right?

She is under disability as well , in southern california

so what does she do?  any suggestions how i can help her figure this out?
