In Response to Plan for wife: I'll be retiring sometime in the next 24 months. I'll be eligible for Medicare next May but once retired I'll need to get medical insurance for my wife wife who just turned 61. Any suggestions? Posted by Indianrock I can only wish you the best of luck on that, my wife is 63, she was 60 when I went on Medicare and she lost my company sponsored health care coverage, she has not been able to find any affordable insurance that will pay anything, she had United Health care policy for a couple of years, it was $700 per month, $5,000 deductible, and only paid 70%, she could not afford to go to the doctor after paying the premiums, she cancelled it. BTW, she has nothing wrong with her, just overweight, but that puts her in the pre-existing condition mode. To make matters worse, AARP Sponsors United Health Care Insurance. |
