In Response to My Plan C from AARP/United more than doubled in cost: I was shocked when I moved from NJ to SC and called AARP/United to register my new address. My Plan C which was $152 dollars in NJ went to $322 dollars in SC. I was given no explanation on why it should cost so much more in SC. Does anybody know if SC has some weird medical rules / taxes that would cause such a big increase? Posted by gquiring Under Medicare Advantage plans cost are different all over the country. That's why you have to pick plans based on your georgraphical location, i.e. where the medical providers are located. It could be that the cost are higher but I would check and compare it to other plans during open enrollment. I think open enrollment is going on now - make sure you look at all the SC options and pick the one that best suits your needs. That goes for your prescription drug plan too if it is not included in your MA. Medicare Advantage Info from Medicare |
