I have paid all expenses for my mother for years.  She has a Medicare Supplemental policy that she has had since 1987 - it is a GREAT policy, no complaints there.  It has not been offered anymore since 1993.

Of course, every year there has been an increase in her monthly premiums - on the average, through the years, this has been about $ 8.00 a month - In the early years, the increases were low $ 4 - $ 5 per month; in the last few years the increases have been no higher than $ 10 - $ 12 per month.

This year, the increase is $ 26.00 per month !

Of course, I will continue with this plan for her - she is 90 now and I just do not want to change but I was surprised at the dollar amount of the increase and wondered how premiums for other supplementals (medigaps) and Medicare Advantage plans are fairing this year?

Are you having to make changes to whatever your choice in plans due to premium increases?

I have a  Medicare Advantage plan that reimburses  the Part B premium. (florida)

I also want to see evidence of the ACA stealing billions of dollars from Medicare.       Frankly I know someone who works in the industry who read the entire 2794 pages of the legislation... and saw no evidence of this medicare theft.
For sure the health insurance industry eats up about    $435,000,000,000 of our GDP each and every year ......... that, by itself, would instantly fund a very large chunk of ObomneyCare,     seems to me.

That has absolutely NOTHING to do with my initial post.
Start your own thread if you want to talk about your subject of CHANGES to the Medicare system - I'm tlaking about premium changes OR in the case of MA could be hikes in deductibles and/or co-pays.

Sure my Premiums are goign up..I;m currently only 68 and now pay $207 a month for my coverage ..lats years it was $166 a month initially it was $144 a month... and when I rach the next age bracket it will go even hgher...

In addition I carry a Part D policy (Rx drugs) which ro be hoenst has not increased much at all ..BUT I  do pay $56 a month for that coverage also ...

I called several compaies and got quotes that are lower the $207 a month .. BUT I had an operation last year and none of the companies will :Cover me now... ... Gotta wait another year before I can change policies

98  + 207 + 56 = #361 a month ir $4300 a year for my insurance and my wife is not all that much cheaper...
