My mother was actually held hostage and cut off from family after being abused by a hospital. (Incidentally, we had asked to transfer to another hospital and were refused. Medicare has since said they would have paid for transport in case of complaint about treatment). My mother and I have since been re-united, but the County of Forsyth is trying to make her a "ward of the county" to protect their "good ole boy" Baptist Hospital in NC.
