When AARP gives it's name to an insurer, or any other company is there a process? Is there an active oversight committee, or is it just marketing dollars that are traded for the AARP brand? thanks.

When AARP gives it's name to an insurer, or any other company is there a process? Is there an active oversight committee, or is it just marketing dollars that are traded for the AARP brand?

I wonder why, don't you?

From reading the thread on auto insurance I get that they don't get involved.
Must be some sort of trade-off, as Harford doesn't seem to be getting good reviews
