AARP is NoT unbiased as Consumers Reports is supposed to be. You have to examine all the alternatives available in your area that you can find via Medicare.gov. All the medigap plans must provide the same benefits for each of the different 'letter" plans , but I don't think the part C (MA) plans Karl In Response to AARP Sponsoring UHC: I just received the government's Medicare and You handbook for 2012. Since this is the first year I will be required to choose a health plan from the offered plans I was looking forward to seeing the details of the AARP sponsored plan offered through United Health Care. I was very disappointed to see that AARP has chosen to associate itself with a plan that receives only a 3 star rating from participating users. I would have expected better from our organization. Or is this a case where they provide the best payback for AARP? Posted by dogwood131 |
