With All Due Respect My Friend, Where are you getting your facts from ? Romney's ads ?, Rush Limbaugh.? Non partisan Economists across the board support the Affordable Care Act. It was designed by the same NON-Partisan economist that designed Gov. Romney's in Mass. Now of course Romney says he will repeal Obama's healthcare, which is the same exact healthcare program that Gov. Romney put in place in Massachusets. Mr. Romney sounds a bit too hypocritical to me . If you already dislike President Obama it does'nt matter what you here, because your mind is made up already. You will search for right wing news to support your dislike. Go ahead vote for Romney and put more Republican right wingers in office and 99% of us will be treated the same way Bain Capital treated our American workers when Romney took over all those American companies and sent OUR jobs to China. Then Romney sent his millions in profits to banks in Switzerland, Ireland and the Cayman Islands to avoid paying the already reduced Bush tax rates. Yeah Romney's business model is real good for our economy. Our American workers, they got pink slips and lost their healthcare and pensions that our workers had paid into for years.. Yes my friend you remember in November, but as for me I will remember that for the past 11 1/2 years the Republican party's priority has been to help the top 1% on the backs of the rest of us. At least President Obama and the Democrats feel the struggles of the other 99% and have plans to help ALL Americans. Of course its been difficult with the Majority Held Republican Right Wing Obstructionist leadership in Congress. Republican leaders like Paul Ryan, who say they are Christians, but turn their backs on our struggling beloved seniors and disabled, by cutting $ 200 billion in healthcare for our seniors and disabled. Our seniors and disabled are not welfare cases, they paid their dues and worked hard their entire lives. We can afford to cut taxes for the wealthy even more than Bush did, but cant help our disabled and seniors. Where is the compassion ? Where is the fairness ? I dont always agree with President Obama, but the Republican Right Wing has gone mad. I was a Republican during the President Reagan years, but that party left town. What would Jesus do ? Give the wealthy more riches or help our struggling seniors and disabled ? n Response to Re: Medicare Health Care Reform - Accountable Care Organizations: In reviewing the Affordable Health Care Act, apparently over $500Billion was siphoned off for other entitlements. Since nobody can be refused health care at the ER, illegal immigrants use this as a mechanism for free health care. Under section 1501 of the act, illegal are exempt from the requirements of the law. SO it appears that Obamacare has taken money that senior citizins has paid into Medicare to support illegals. Check it out. Also, sections 9009 and 9010 add fees to medical devices and insurance premiums - this has to raise costs, making health care LESS affordable. Remember in November who voted FOR Obamacare, and see that they are NOT re-elected.

In Response to Re: Medicare Health Care Reform - Accountable Care Organizations: Why is it that AARP has an overview of what the Chief Justices say about the Affordable Health Care Act and you cannot pull it up for a copy? You refer to other sections for an attempt, but it does not work. If you CANNOT have it printed, SAY SO. Frustrated...... Suptjake By starting to close the coverage gap known as the "doughnut hole," 5.3 million people with Medicare Part D have saved $3.7 billion since the law was enacted. In the first five months of 2012, 745,000 people with Medicare saved a total of $485.3 million on prescription drugs in the doughnut hole for an average of $651 in savings per person this year. Over 32.5 million Americans in Medicare used one or more free preventive services in 2011. And, over 2.2 million people with traditional Medicare benefited from the new Annual Wellness Visit in 2011. Posted by jmjm Here is part of the AARP article on the Affordable Care Act: You should be able to print the article: http://www.aarp.org/politics-society/advocacy/info-06-2012/supreme-court-upholds-affordable-care-act.print.html |

In Response to Re: Medicare Health Care Reform - Accountable Care Organizations: Health Care Reform means less health care. and the companies who would have to pay into it are holding the idea hostage. Health insurance is not necessary , but health care is. If we could get the lawyers out of the system, and get an equivalent to the Veteran's Health care system, count me in. If it means I have to go back to paying one fourth of my income for health insurance, count me out. The wealthy in this country, including the politicians, have good health care, and the rest of us are in limbo. How long will it go on? Until there is a disease that spreads to the wealthy, because so many people do not have good care today. Then and only then will they realize we are all humans and deserve good , decent health care! Posted by louisie In Responce to what you said here, I on the other hand say we do need to pay for our own health insurance if we can and those of us who don't think they should, well i say the free ride is over, and i'm not talking about those who are on Social Security or Disability, those people have or will have healthcare and should not be threaten by anyone by taking away their earned Benefits. |

In Response to Re: Medicare Health Care Reform - Accountable Care Organizations: While the Ryan-Romney big-ideas will not affect seniors, who will be dead by that time, their middle-aged children and young grandchildren would be scroood out of all of the benefits and protections that seniors are afforded today...essentially taking them back to the pre-New Deal era...and their children and grandkids will not thank them for this...especially when they realize how much the greedy rich gained in tax breaks by granmas and grampas neocon vote. In fact the entire thing about “chullen and grandchullen” is a lie especially designed by the mantra of people who do not give a flip about their offspring. It is a con sold to a poor class by people whose chullen and grandchullen have very little stake in the health of the country, whose offspring can just live off the wealth (stolen from ) given willingly to them by the American people. Posted by JANMB "If there is anyone who gutted Medicare and put seniors at risk it is President Obama, who reduced Medicare funding by over $700 billion to fund the Obamacare plan. As a result of these cuts, Medicare actuaries warn, seniors may lose access to doctors and hospitals. The Romney-Ryan premium support model is not perfect — no plan can fix Medicare's multi-trillion dollar deficits without difficult tradeoffs. But Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have at least proposed a solution, one which could reduce costs and improve quality to put Medicare on a more sustainable track. President Obama has offered no counterproposal. In contest for the country's No.1 leadership position, that alone should be important to voters." http://finance.yahoo.com/blogs/the-exchange/myths-realities-ryan-medicare-plan-223236463.html And I have had problems with the Ryan budget, but know that Obama has none as he only uses and open credit card with no money in the bank. Obama is just buying the sky and ignoring the clouds he is forming - a storm is on the way. Dump Obamacare before it destroys the American economy and the world many of us look forward to retire. He giving away our future. |

In Response to Re: Medicare Health Care Reform - Accountable Care Organizations: So many people are blind to what the Republican Congress is doing to kill any progress. The Republicans wont even sit down at the table to discuss issues unless you are willing to totally agree with their far right wing agenda. What kind of Democracy is this ? I was a Republican most of my life , but I had enough of the greed ! n Response to Re: Medicare Health Care Reform - Accountable Care Organizations : Posted by mandm84 "So Ryan changed the plan -- so much so that it's now co-sponsored by liberal Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon, who believes the current system is doomed to fail. In an interview with Fox News about his embracing of the Ryan plan, Wyden predicts "a steady diet of benefit reductions for senior citizens and cost shifting." "That will all take place until the Medicare guarantee is threatened, and I'm just not going to sit by and let that happen," he said. "The whole idea is that this competitive process would lead to cheaper insurance for seniors at the same level of benefits that they currently enjoy," Roy said. " |
