My heart goes out to you my friend, but the Republican leaders Eric Cantor and John Boehner have already scheduled a vote on July 11 to repeal President Obama's Healthcare Law. We all need to get active and contact your representatives to support your needs. We have to stop these Republican Right Wingers, who only care about the wealthiest, on the struggling backs of our seniors and disabled. I'm hoping more Democrats are elected in November, so we can return to a civil and compassionate government. Even Ronald Reagan would'nt allow today's Republican leadership in Congress to get away with their Plutocratic ways. If Romney wins it will only get worse. I used to be a Republican during the Reagan years, but that party left town. Today's Republican party is bought and paid for by billionaires and lost the true meaning of Democracy ( social equality for ALL Americans ). I hope and pray that the Affordable Care Act prevails to help you and millions of other Americans. Good luck my friend. n Response to If elected, Can Romney repeal the law: I was told that if Romney becomes president he can choose to repeal the law. I plan on getting insurince Jan 1, 2014 because I have pre-existing conditions, however I can't plan on it in case Romney is elected and the law no longer is in effect. Posted by jhross60 |

I saw a bumper sticker that said " Romney is a corporation posing as a person, but Romney's record as the head of Bain Capital is enough to send chills down your spine.. He took over all those struggling American companies and paid himself " Special Dividends " right off the bat. Then he laid off American workers and sent their jobs to China, India and everywhere else. Those same American workers also lost their pensions and healthcare, that they had contributed to. Mr. Romney then hid his $$$ millions in Special Dividends in banks in Switzerland, Ireland and the Cayman Islands to avoid paying the allready reduced Bush tax rates. Now in his speeches he wants to create jobs in America , so we can compete with China and India. It was ok to send our jobs to China and India when he was making millions from it, but now, If he's elected he will stop other countries from taking our jobs. Romney keeps attacking President Obama's healthcare program and says he will repeal it on his first day if elected. I could not believe what I was hearing because Romney initiated the same healthcare system as Governor of Massachusetts. Both President Obama's and Gov. Romney's Healthcare Programs were developed by the same Economist, John Gruber from M.I.T. Dr. Gruber was recently on TV stating both healthcare systems are alike, but President Obama's program is better because it has cost controls built in. Romney's record shows he's Pro Rich, Pro War and he sounds a bit too hypocritical for me. . Posted by jhross60 Why don't you get health insurance NOW? The PPACA has already set up PCIP (pre existing condition insurance plans) in each state. Even before this part of the law was in put into place, most states had a high risk insurance pool. Are you waiting for Medicaid expansion ro a subsidy for the government? Even within the exchange plans set up by the states OR, if case may have to be, the federal government, you will have premiums, co-pays and any subsidy will be just what it says it will be - "a tax credit". The Medicaid expansion plan is still up in the air since the SCOTUS ruled that the states could not be cohersed into doing it. |

In Response to Re: If elected, Can Romney repeal the law: The problem with this is that it taxes those who do not want it. Health Insurance in general is a big rip-off. In fact health care is a rip-off. It should not cost $10,000 or more for anyone to recieve emergency care for a heart attack Hospitals should never be Profit-making corporations. Medicines should not cost you $1.00 to $20 per pill when they only cost 39 cents to make a thousand of them. Posted by OhZone How do you know what things (anything) should cost? Do you sell your own product? If you do, then how do you justify the price that you put on the product? If your product is "in demand" and is flying off the shelf, do you add on a premium for this effect? Are you just another citizen with an opinion? Everybody can have one of those, so they are cheap. Learn about what cost (all of them) have to be used to develop a product - then maybe you can understand profit and loss. We seem to have many people working on the loss side of the equation - WHY? |

They will have many many issues that are of more importance than Obamacare, and who knows how the public is going to react if they attempt to repeal the Law by 2014, they may all get booted out of Congress. It is of extreme importance that all of us vote in these next elections. Many good things are already in effect because of ObamaCare (ACA). like pre conditions, children to remain in their parents policies until 26, Closing of the Dougnut hole for seniors, many of my prescriptions have already dropped in price a lot. So, defend your rights, do what will be best for you. |

In order for that to happen, Romney would have to win the Presidency and the Senate would have to have a majority of the Senate. Not gonna happen!
