Do you know or care where your prescription drugs come from?

Three times in as many months I have received three different brands of refilled prescriptions. When I checked on line, I found they are made in India. Do the manufacturers in India, China or anywhere else outside the US adhere to any of our standards, especially sanitation and purity of ingredients? A recent newspaper article stated there are extremely limited sanitary facilities in some factories. We have American pharmaceutical companies, high unemployment and are importing who knows what. As consumers, we almost have to accept whatever product is offered to us, but I am outraged that we are all being duped and our government is not doing anything to protect us. |
