It appears that AARP may have been misrepresenting their stand on O'care. All members should consider looking at the following website: http://www.generationamerica.org/aarp-white-house-investigation?utm_source=AARP+10.24.2012&utm_campaign=AARP&utm_medium=email. While General America is an organization as well, the documents that are available to view are those that tell a different story than what AARP has been indicating. Be sure to scroll down to open the attachments. There are copies of emails between AARP and White House officials going back to 2009 which seem to indicate AARP has been in support of this legislation from Day One. One recent one is dated 9/20/1 from Congress to Mr. Romasco. It appears that AARP is not responding to this inquiry from Congress. AARP has indicated they are non-partisan; this information would suggest otherwise. I encourage all members to read through this information and judge for yourself. This organization is supposed to be working on our behalf!!!! It seems we not only have to be concerned about Congress representing us as they should, but now these private organizations which we pay to represent us. |
