In Response to Re: Fighting cholesteral using fishoil: I am 68 years young. I was recently told my cholesteral if 84, but should be at 70. Does this fish oil stuff really work? I was also told my calcium level is too high. I want to change my eatng habits once and for all. I would like to loose 70 lb. I need some good encouragement along with good encouoraging news. Ms just getting started, and will never give up. Posted by grannymax7 I was told by a physician that the most recent research does not support the use of fishoil to help improve cholesterol levels. He also said that it can have negative effects on digestion. I have stopped taking it. Carolyn |

I am 67 years old and have fought cholesteral my whole life, my hifh is too high and my low is too low, I discovered Arbonne , go to Arbonne.com and read about it. I am a consultant and for $79.00 you get the protine drink, fiber and any other products you want ffor 35% discount. I have no consultants under me, I am just so happy with the products, face creams, I was asked if I had a face lift, after only 3 months of using it. Between feeling healthier, mentally feeling better and the most amazing soft hair I now love again. Arbonne uses all safe, beneficial natural products. They have been in business for over 38 years. Started in Europe, and now manufactured in the United States. Our body quits producuing what naturally helps our skin and hair become naturally beautiful. It's in the Shampoo, and Rince. But by all means you will feel wonderful from starting your day of each morning. I add fresh fruit, fruit juice and water, and a bullet to mix it. I f your interested in trying samples contact me. I don't make money on this, unless you sign up a lot on consultants under you, but myself I was told I look 57 not 67, and I went from a size 16 to a size 12 in 6 months. Please email me or call me I'd love to help you, that would be my reward. email address..marypacifica@att.net or feel free to call me at 650-738-0602, My name is Mary English . I just attended my 50 year class reunion, everyone wanted to know my secrete looking so great. This is a wonderful company, if you get consultants under you, usually the reward is white BMW, they give out jewlrey, trips,, I don't care about bonus's, just my sence of well being, happier aand feeling pretty again. Hope you research this, you will feel great soon, inches will disappear befor weight, but my daughter-in-law went from a size 14 to a size 6 and this was her happiest personal moment ever, I hope I hear from you, the least that could happen is we become friends....Mary I am 68 years young. In Response to Fighting cholesteral using fishoil: Anyone having good luck using fish oil? What ideas are being used by you to fight bad cholesteral in a natural way? Posted by lady67 Use lean meats, skinless chicken or turkey, lean beef (sirloin, chuck, round, loin), pork tenderloin, or pork loin. Dairy products Choose fat-free or low-fat dairy products like milk, cheese, cream, and yogurt. Choose whole-grain products like whole wheat bread, brown rice, and whole wheat pasta. Fruits and vegetables are also great sources of fiber. Be sure to include at least 25 to 30 grams of fiber in your diet each day. You need at least four to five servings of fruits and vegetables every day the more variety, the better. Eat at least two servings of fish each week. Avoid fatty meats, processed meats, high-sugar drinks, cookies and other desserts, and chips. cooking techniques to lower cholesterol and cut fat and calories: Don't use salt Instead, season with fresh herbs, spices, or even a squirt of lemon juice. Don't fry, Bake, grill, or broil your foods instead. Don't use butter, shortening, or margarine and cook with low-cholesterol products like sunflower oil, olive oil, or canola oil. Use fresh Instead of canned vegetables or fruits, prepackaged dinners, and other prepared foods, choose the fresh version. You'll save sodium Add plant sterols 2 grams a day. Derived from plants, in capsule form, they interfere with cholesterol’s absorption. They’re safe, free of side effects and supply all-round health benefits. Both sterols and fish oil reduce inflammation .

What caught my attention is you mentioned your calcium is too high. When my calcium was too high my physician sent me to an Endocrinologist who determined the symptoms for a hyperparathyroid tumor were present; then she sent me forward to an Otolaryngologist (both at Johns Hopkins) who confirmed it & surgically removed it. The parathyroid is behind the thyroid yet doesn't have anything to do with the thyroid. When I awoke from that surgery I felt like I had a new spirit! I'm telling you this because it is important to get your calcium checked by an endocrinologist; this type of condition is unintentionally missed by many physicians. Please take my words seriously. I take fish oil everyday & still my chloesterol is over 200; I have a bad readction to every chloresterol medicine so I also need to find help to lower it. Good luck.
