Volunteer Business Plan Feedback Needed

I am a business student at a University in Michigan.  My group and I were given a task to create a business plan and we are interested in developing a "non-profit" volunteer website that takes"create the good" a bit further.  Our idea would have the user (you) create a profile of interest "likes" and "dislikes'.  With this information our website would use an algorithm to match your "likes" with your specific area's (i.e. metro Detroit) opportunities.  For example, if you are interested in healthcare, our website would automatically respond with area hospital or extended living volunteer opportunities.  There would be no need to search through all of the posted opportunities, looking for one's you are interested in...they would automatically populate.  The algorithm would simply filter all of the information based on your profiled "likes" and respond with close matching opportunities in your area. 

We are a group of students who strongly believe many individuals want to give back to community they live in through volunteering...but have trouble finding the "right" opportunity.  I am posting this discussion in hopes to get candid feedback of:

1.  Would this be something that would interest you?
2.  If this website existed, how likely would you be to create a profile and see what is offered?
3.  Is there anything about this idea that would make you not create a profile?
4.  What would you suggest to improve this idea?
