Originally I wrote a new book about empowering Adults 40 or 50 Plus to become Entrepreneurs through Lifelong Learning in subjects such as Financial Education, Financial Literacy, Computer Literacy and Micro-business Education & Training.

My social entrepreneur vision and advocacy goal is to help eradicate Seniors Poverty around the World.

I would like to start a new discussion here to find out what your interpretation or understanding is for the Poverty Income Level For Seniors 65 Plus?  Is this number a standard income level amount and does it vary for Seniors 65 Plus living in different countries?

Another question is How can we get ALL Seniors to be above the Poverty income Level? i.e. More Government entitlments Or more work or more small business opportunities?

Amazing that you even suggest that seniors, at 65, who have worked all their lives, should be looking for more work. I recall some Philipinos telling me when they first visited this country that Americans work too much, never retire, and don't have enough time for their families. They are right.

Louisie, Do you think that  Americans in general have been over worked and when they turn 65 will refuse to get some meaningful work, startup a small business or maybe volunteer giving something back to Society?  What will older parents they do when many grown up children are forced to move away from their home to take jobs in other States or even other Countries?
