I have an iMac and use Safare as my web browser.  Just recently I started getting a message after I completed playing a game, any game, that says "Too many redirects occurring to open http://games.aarp.org/default.aspx.  This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page".  Has this happened to any of you?  Once this message appears I cannot go back to the home page without completely quitting Safari.

I have followed all the help suggestions and it still doesn't work.  I would appreciate any help you have to offer.

You will need to add Firefox as an alternate web browser to your iMac. Everyone that has an iMac has had this particular problem with this web site. I have been in contact with their Information Technology people in California (you wouldn't believe how hard that was). They didn't want to admit it, at first, but they now admit that the AARP Games Site does not operate correctly with Apple's Safari. They also have the same issue with Chrome. They said that they will not be "fixing" this issue.

Apple (who I trust a lot more than the jokers at AARP) basically said that this web site is antiquated and slow. They said that Safari, as a browser, moves so fast that it sends messages faster than AARP's web site can recognize them so, with no response, it sends it again, then again....thus the redirects message. I switched to Firefox and while slower than Safari, it seems to pose no problems playing games at AARP.

I've tried the suggestions but they still don't load.  I uninstalled flashplayer, I verified that Java was enabled, and I cleared my cache.  Nothing has helped.  Why would it be working just fine and now no longer works.  I've tried again for several weeks.  It's been mnonths since I've been able to play a game.Cry

Do you have an Apple computer? Did you install the latest Flashplayer? What is your web browser? I usually don't agree with anything AARP's people say when it comes to this web site because they are so clueless; however, if games won't load and you are using Firefox as a browser, it should work fine so it may be a problem with your computer. If you have an Apple, take it to an Apple store and speak to the associates at the genius bar, they'll fix it. I don't know what to do if you own any other brand of computer.

I also have an iMac.  After playing a game, when you get the redirect notice, go to your "Return to previous page" arrow and click.  You will then get a "Cancel/Return" drop down.  Keep clicking on the "Return" button until the page is plain white.  Then hit the "Return to Previous Page" arrow once and you will be back to the game.
Unfortunately, you have to do this after each game.  For some reason, the games are out of wack AGAIN.  I really wish AARP online would have their games person overhaul the entire program.

I have used the method of backpaging before and it does get you to a new game; however, if you score a top ten score for the game you are playing, it will not post that score to the top ten scoreboard. The only way to play the games and for them to work correctly with an Apple system is to use Firefox as your browser. Chrome and safari will never work correctly and AARP could care less.
