In Response to technical help needed to download some games: I cannot download some games, though others I can. I am running XP, new Java download, cache is cleared, new Flash download, plenty of RAM and processor speed. Cookies are allowed, Java is enabled, etc. I can download and play Mahjong games, crosswords, and outdraw poker, but not Soduko, Freecell or 5Roll. The ones that don't download start loading on my screen then seem to get stuck in a loop. I see it partially loaded but the display won't accept any input and the graphics keep looping with apparent lines of code flashing on and off. Any help would be appreciated. Posted by cards201112 I have Windows XP SP 3 with all updates, Dual Core processor, 2.8 Ghz speed, four gigabytes of RAM, and Roadrunner broadband. At this time I am using SeaMonkey as my browser. I just went to the Games by clicking on Games under AARP and tried all three of the games you say will not load and allow you to play them. I did not have any problem. I will try IE8 and see what happens. Edited: I changed to IE8 and again clicked on Games under AARP, chose the three games you said will not load for you and all three loaded for me and I played them. I am do not know what the problem is. |

I contacted Arkadium, which the games show as powered by. They ran me through the same upgrades to Flash, IE, clear cache, allow popups, etc. Still no luck. thanx again. |

In Response to Re: technical help needed to download some games: Yeah whats going on with games. Havent been able to load in 2 days. Cant find any place to actually post a question to aarp site. Is it just getting too large and cant keep control of all the issues. The whole site has been getting slower, like my hips!! Posted by freddieboy I just went to Games using the Games link at top left (13th down or 3rd up from bottom) under big red AARP. I like bowling so I bowled one game with no problems. You need to give more information about your computer, how you connect to the internet and the steps you are taking to try and get to the games. What happens once you get to the games, if you do.
