I cannot download some games, though others I can.  I am running XP, new Java download, cache is cleared, new Flash download, plenty of RAM and processor speed.  Cookies are allowed, Java is enabled, etc.  I can download and play Mahjong games, crosswords, and outdraw poker, but not Soduko, Freecell or 5Roll.  The ones that don't download start loading on my screen then seem to get stuck in a loop.  I see it partially loaded but the display won't accept any input and the graphics keep looping with apparent lines of code flashing on and off.  Any help would be appreciated.

I have Windows XP SP 3 with all updates, Dual Core processor, 2.8 Ghz speed, four gigabytes of RAM, and Roadrunner broadband. At this time I am using SeaMonkey as my browser.

I just went to the Games by clicking on Games under AARP and tried all three of the games you say will not load and allow you to play them. I did not have any problem.

I will try IE8 and see what happens. Edited: I changed to IE8 and again clicked on Games under AARP, chose the three games you said will not load for you and all three loaded for me and I played them.

I am do not know what the problem is.

Thanks for your post.  I hadn't considered the browser.  I reinstalled IE8 newest version.  Still no luck.  I contacted Arkadium, which the games show as powered by.  They ran me through the same upgrades to Flash, IE, clear cache, allow popups, etc.  Still no luck.  thanx again.

What's wrong with the aarp game site?  I usually get the games, and for last 2 days Hollywood Solitaire hasn't loaded properly. A variation of this happened a while back, maybe 4 months ago or so, and finally was cleared up. Hope the site techies see this.

Does anybody have some good tips on solving those really hard sudokus--besides slicing and dicing?

Yeah whats going on with games.  Havent been able to load in 2 days.  Cant find any place to actually post a question to aarp site.
Is it just getting too large and cant keep control of all the issues.
The whole site has been getting slower, like my hips!!

I just went to Games using the Games link at top left (13th down or 3rd up from bottom) under big red AARP. I like bowling so I bowled one game with no problems.

You need to give more information about your computer, how you connect to the internet and the steps you are taking to try and get to the games. What happens once you get to the games, if you do.

TO CATOW  (SUGGESTION)

A feature that would be immensely helpful would be (1) a listing of games that are Apple/Mac compatible or possibly (2) just add a special asterisk (or other) to your main listing which would denote it was A/M-compatible.

In 2009 I was playing "4 0f a kind" daily with no difficulties; today "4 of a kind" provides only an empty, gray screen!  We shall attempt to make known these erraticities under the "game name" as we discover them.

I'm not aware of any games on the AARP site that aren't Mac compatible. I use a Mac and have played all of them over the years.  How old is your Mac? I recently bought a new one but in the past was using one that was 9 years old. I do find that the games run faster on my newer computer.
What is "Four of a Kind"? I con't recall seeing it on the games menu. Could it be one that has been discontinued or does it go by another name?
