I have talked to a supervisor in the California office responsible for the IT. They are aware of the problems but the games section of the AARP web site is operated by a third party vendor named PLUNK and I don't think that the AARP staff have the expertise or the will to correct things, either themselves or throuigh the vendor. I was told that my concerns were going to be brought up in the next staff meeting. Nothing changed and that's been several weeks ago already so don't hold your breath.

The lack of response to the game site problems is amazing! Perhaps if AARP withheld paying Plunk until they resolved the issues, there might be some action. These problems have existed for months!

The system is rife with errors. Backgammon does not play correctly according to backgammon rules, that is. The Blackjack game mis-calculates the cards (an ace, an ace, and a nine comes to 21 in Vegas or anywhere else, except on this web site where it is 11 only). Several games lock up mid-game. Now, all of a sudden, I am starting to get pop-ups, even though my settings deny pop-ups. All the games section of AARP's web site cares about is advertising.

I have called AARP several times regarding not being able to access their web-site from their eletters or through Google. Today is 8/13 and I am still not able to play solitaire.  I have talked to several 'nice' ladies but not one has mentioned the third party vendor or bringing the problem up at a staff meeting or providing me with the status report they promised me.  One mentioned that one other person had complained about it!!

I was also told that not many people have complained. I have an Apple Imac. I was also told that Apple computer users were complaining because Safari (Apple's browser) has problems with AARP's Game Site. Apple has told me that the problem is with the game site's outdated software. Since AARP has had NO answers and Apple has, I tend to believe what the experts at Apple have to say. You are right, every time I have called AARP, they DO say that only one other person has complained but if you look at the discussions here....we know that to be untrue.

I have switched to using Firefox, blocked pop-ups. but it seems the one thing AARP's IT staff has learned to do is get pop-ups to "pop-up" even if you have blocked them. Every day, I also get "Foresee" asking me to do a survey about AARP. You'd think that they would get tired of receiving all "1's" (i.e. poor) every time.

I've given up on their web site, it either works or it don't, but they won't doing thing to fix it when needed. AARP is only interested in selling memberships and your name to vendors.

It looks like they spend our membership fees financing the "Foresee" survey company. I get a request to do a survey about AARP each and every evening.

I have a relatively new iMac with the lastest OS, the most recent adobe flash player and JAVA.  For a week now, the games will not replay.  This has NEVER been a ploblem before, I could sit and play games for hours.  I contacted AARP by e-mail and got a long, but standard response of things to try, but I feel that the problem is with their games site, not my computer as I can play games on other sites with no problems.  From the little I have read here, it seems as though the AARP IT staff is unable to fix the problems with the games.  Anyone else with a Mac having this problem?
