In Response to Re: THE POP-UPS ARE BACK AGAIN: In Response to Re: THE POP-UPS ARE BACK AGAIN : Agreed that this sounds like a practical solution. Isn't it a shame, though, that a member has to consider installing a second browser only because the vendor keeps screwing up? Posted by Rhenish I absolutely agree with you. But past experience has shown me that problems on this web site do not get corrected rapidly. I would just rather do something that solves the problem for myself and move on. Its like beating your head against the wall to get the people who run the AARP web site to correct problems. |

In Response to Re: THE POP-UPS ARE BACK AGAIN: I have played five games this morning and only closed the Spa ad about a dozen times. I thought it was a new game. Click it closed quickly enough and you win. I must not be winning, though, because it's like Timex - it takes a clicking and keeps on ticking. Seriously, this is incompetence on someone's part. If AARP is paying an outside vendor, and I suspect AARP is - AARP needs to find a new vendor - yesterday. Posted by Rhenish I followed Sparkle18 and now am pop up free. It really is easy to do especially if you have CHROME for browser. |

In Response to Re: THE POP-UPS ARE BACK AGAIN: The AARP site is run by Pluck. Check this out at: http://www.pluck.com/customers/ I installed A dblock Plus last week and it has worked beautifully . If you are using Firefox browser use the following link. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/ For Chrome browsers: http://adblockplus.org/en/chrome Using this you will not see any ads unless you choose to. Its easy to install and can be turned off with one click. Posted by Sparkel18 Thank You! I was playing Mahjong Dark Dimensions for 15 minutes. I got over 40 tracking cookies, and was bothered with the AARP popup to enter a sweepstakes before and after each game!!!! I am glad I don't have an aging mind, because this would trick me into clicking into other websites, and God only knows what I would accidentally do!!!!
