If you look under the main menu at the bottom left corner of the game you will see "toggle depth". Click on this and it will bring to the front the hidden puzzle piece. You have to click on Main menu in order to open out the rest of the options, one of which is toggle depth.

When doing  jigsaw puzzles on your game site, there is no room to sort the pieces and I end up putting them on top of each other.  When I've done zigsaw puzzles on other sites,  there's always enough room to move the pieces around.  What am I doing wrong?

What am I doing wrong that I can't spread out the pieces of the puzzle?  There just isn't any room and I end up piling them on top of each other.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. The only hint I can give you is to click on the main menu piece and click "show edges". This will show only the edged pieces. Once these are in place you can hit "show edges" a second time and see the inside puzzle pieces. There is still not enough space to show all the pieces without having them overlap. I think this is poor planning on the game designer's part.
