It is 24 hours later and the same thing has happened again!!!!!!! It is after 12:20am and the daily scores posted are still yesterday's scores. This is poor administration of this web site. I AM EDITING THIS POST THE NEXT MORNING AT 10:30AM AND THIS GAME SITE HAS STILL NOT BEEN UPDATED. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS? THEY DON'T SEEM TO BE HAVING A PROBLEM WITH ALL THE ADVERTISING THAT THEY HAVE SOLD AND PUT ON THE GAME SITE!!!!! |

THIS IS THE THIRD DAY IN A ROW THAT THE DAILY SCOREBOARD DID NOT RESET AT MIDNIGHT! I HAVE CALLED AARP AND WAS TRANSFERRED TO THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE. EACH TRANSFER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AN ESCALATION TO A PERSON WITH A HIGHER WEB SITE KNOWLEDGE LEVEL BUT IT WASN'T, I WAS JUST BEING TRANFERRED AROUND BY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES. THEY SAID THAT NO ONE ELSE HAD REPORTED THIS PROBLEM . I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT AN IT PERSON WOULD CALL ME. THEY HAVEN'T. MY IMPRESSION IS THAT THE PEOPLE ON THE OTHER END OF THE LINE CARE ABOUT NOTHING AS RELATES TO THEIR MEMBERSHIP....EXCEPT YOUR MEMBERSHIP FEE AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO SELL YOU SOMETHING VIA ONE OF THEIR ADVERTISEMENTS. I HAVE SENT THEM AN EMAIL TO WHICH THERE HAS BEEN NO RESPONSE. I HAVE NOT BEEN TO A WEB SITE MORE POORLY RUN THAN THIS ONE. COMPLAINTS ABOUT AARP POPULATE THE INTERNET. NO ONE READS THESE POSTS SO THEY MIGHT AS WELL NOT HAVE THEM. THE WAY THIS WEB SITE IS OPERATED IS A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EDIT: IT IS THE NEXT MORNING AT 9AM AND THE SITE HAS STILL NOT UPDATED. YESTERDAY'S DAILY SCORES ARE STILL THERE. AMAZING INEPTITUDE!!!!!!!!

I couldn't agree more! A few days back the web site was down for a number of hours for maintenance. When it came back up, the scoreboard would not reset at midnight (E.S.T.). You would think one of their IT nerds could solve that in a flash. I guess they are too busy figuring out ways to cram more ads on the screen. It's pathetic!!! |

The fact that the web site was down for a number of hours was something that I didn't know but now it all makes sense. They screw things up everytime they fiddle with the games portion of the web site. The first thing they did months ago was change the format of the game site. For days, no one could sign in. The next time they messed with it, the site began to have an issue if you were using Safari as a web browser, that issue exists to this day. The next time they tinkered with the site, pop-up ads would "pop-up" with EVERY page to which you navigated. AND NOW THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the information but as I said, now it makes sense, THEY SCREWED SOMETHING UP AGAIN!!!!!!! |

Here we go again. The fourth day where the daily scores have not reset at midnight. I again called customer service. I was told that the IT department is in a secret place in Lakewood, California. They would not release a contact name or contact number. In fact, I actually got a customer representative to admit today that with any web site issues as relates to the games, they have to forward an email to their "web team". They actually do not know who is on the "web team", they actually do not know where the "web team" is located, if the "web team" does not respond or repair the issue, then they only thing they can do is again forward an email to the "web team". It is a loop where no information is given, no one is responsible for results, and basically no one cares. A good value for our membership dollar. EDIT: IT IS NOW 10:30AM OF THE FOURTH DAY AND STILL NO REPAIR ON THIS ISSUE. EDIT #2: IT IS 4:45PM AND STILL YESTERDAY'S SCORES. WHAT DO THESE PEOPLE,THE "WEB TEAM" DO ALL DAY????????????????????

Saturday,12 Jan 4:40 am: a few games have reset. The vast majority have not. I wonder why AARP's web guys do not have a subroutine that globally resets all the games at once. Maybe they do, but screwed something up during their down time a few days back. What a way to run a website! |

Can you believe it, can the IT people at AARP get things more screwed up than they were???? YES, THEY CAN!!!!!! I was playing Outdraw Poker. As has happened for four days in a row, the daily scores did not reset at midnight 25 hours ago but reset sometime during yesterday evening, after my post above (i.e. after 4:45pm). Anyway, it was reset. Guess what, it just reset again at around 12:54am. Where did these IT people learn their trade? |
