I do Lumosity (paid membership) and Neuronation, which is free. For some free games that are fun to do go here: http://www.neuro-nation.com/click.php?name=Betsy3491 I think the free games are just as good, although Lumosity has better graphics. I've seen improvement--I'm now in the top 1% of my age group on the Lumosity site. But, basically, I don't think the research supports the idea that online game playing keeps you from getting dementia. Apparently, if you read and took classes and worked your brain in your teens and twenties, it will help keep you sharp later in life. Also exercise has some effect. But the games are fun and the best ones give you sense of accomplishment. |
