In Response to Celiac (gluten free): I was diagnosed with Celiac's Disease just a few weeks ago, as I turn 60. I am finding that it is not so hard to find gluten-free foods if you have natural foods grocers in your area but going out to eat is a real challenge. Some restaurants are helpful if you tell them you want to eat gluten free, but often the choices can be limited. Do you have favorite places where you eat out or favorite recipes? Do you buy gluten free bread or make your own? Does homemade bread taste better than store bought? My wife is contemplating buying a bread maker, as gluten free breads from the store are not that great. |
