(It's great that there a woman that love jazz) Posted by Starlink Starlink, There are many women, of all ages, who love jazz. And I'm not talking about "instrumentals". I am referring to straight ahead jazz, and fusion, as well as more contemporary jazz. Love of music has no gender. In our local jazz community, there are young people, both male and female, who play Joe Henderson, Miles, Trane, Dizzy and many others. They got that love from their Mamas and Papas who listened to, and played, this great genre as they were growing up. I'm glad you posted the thread. Nice to see it being discussed. |

I listened to the local commercial Smooth Jazz station WSJT for years until they changed the format. Some of the music was good, some really bad. The Clearwater Jazz festival is looking more like a potpourri of other genres. Then I discovered the WUSF all night Jazz. I love real Jazz! |
