In Response to Re: Is There A Place for Jazz?: I was wondering if anyone knows of a place that I might find Oliver Nelson's Jazzhattan Suite. I have looked but so far no luck not even one song on YouTube. I had it on vinyl but when I moved years ago I was missing a few things besides records. Thanks if you have any info. For anyone who's interested, the Life@50+ convention in New Orleans is coming up this fall. AARP has a new channel that features music artists who will be performing at the event plus New Orleans favorites. Listen here: http://www.aarp.org/etc/aarp/statics/global/html/slacker-player.html?sid=2574&autoplay=true Who are your top artists from New Orleans? |

He writes his own music for the group. |

In Response to Is There A Place for Jazz Posted by Starlink[/QUOTE] Jazz is everywhere, you just have to know where the musicians are. Here in Delray Beach Florida we have the Arts Garage, 52 weeks of Jazz, Soul and good times. A small intimate venue, always packed with jazz and music enthisiasts byob and food and be prepared for a great time. The musicians come from everythwere and have play with "well known" greats yet are always great in themselves. |
