What am I listening to? The classic Rolling Stones stuff, and a lot of their lesser-played work, too...'Respectable', for one, 'Rip This Joint', for another...early Fleetwood Mac, Green/Kirwan/Spencer/Fleetwood/McVie-era material, and also the Wilbert Harrison classic 'Work Together' as performed by Elvin Bishop & George Thorogood.

Oh, and Chuck Berry turns 86 this October 18th...Hail! Hail! Rock'n'Roll, Chuck!

I have a music background, and have 2 young adult children at home who have been listening to everything since they were babies. I listen to just about everything: Alternative, oldies, classic rock, classical, jazz. The boys have given me cd's of their favorite groups to listen to. Most of them, I enjoy. I just don't understand the fascination with "screaming groups" though.

Hi and thanks for your post.

Like you, most people that I know like a variety of music and styles from Big Band to Pop. Of course there are groups and music styles that we don't like and don't listen to.. I guess to each his own. I know that there is no shortage of great music no matter what you like : )

old school music..such as...salsoul orchestra...o'jays...donna summer. Good dancing music that keeps me moving at age 65. love my old school collection of music...it's the best of good times remembered from the club days and family get togethers.

The first time I heard this song, I remember exactly where I was, and although I never heard it much on the radio, for over 40 years I have been looking for a copy of it, and even had my daughter looking too. We went to used record and tape shops , and ev ery place we could think of.About 2 months ago sjhe called me on the phine ane told me she has "my song" I asked where did she find it? On the internet. She will make a copy of it for me. I am thrilled.
Now, the night I head the song for the first time, my husband and I had just returned home from gointg to a dico, and I had had a really great time. We were in the kitchen , and the radio was on, and my song came on. We had been ju7mping around at the disco to disco music, but this song seemed to just grab us. He got up, took me in his arms and we danced to it. It was a memberable night foer me, and even though it was many years ago, I do not think I will ever forget that evening.
