In Response to Re: What are you listening to?: In Response to Re: What are you listening to? : Thanks, I love Barbara Streisand's voice. A friend and I were talking the other day about how some people have such distinctive voices that you can hear just a note or two and you know who it is. Willy Nelson, John Denver etc., and of course Barbara Streisand is like that. I love this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78Ruh0ewBVo Posted by Quackers Wow I can't believe it has been so long since I posted here. Thank you for the link. She does truly have an amazing voice. I loved A Star is Born and so many of her songs. There are some truly great voices out there and she is one. I also love Janis Joplin another woman with an amazing voice.. I only wish that we could have had more years with her. I never saw her perform live.. I saw Love Janis off Broadway and that was great but I would have loved to see Janis live. http://youtu.be/-7JVxE2SYxo |

In Response to Re: What are you listening to?: Listing to Bonnie Raitt's Slipstream, Dr John's Locked Down, and Bruce Springsteen's Wreaking Ball. Plus a ton of other things. Posted by LoganSmith Hi and thanks for sharing : ) There is so much great music out there that you could post different songs and artists every day and never run out. I love to hear what other people are listening as it reminds me of songs I have not played for a while and I can go back and enjoy them. Bruce alone has tons of works out there. One of my favorite is http://youtu.be/eb4zNUWt2ZU |

Currently listening to "Generic Flipper" by Flipper. I just found out that my old friend Rachel T. (from "Frightwig") played bass on the last album and is also playing on the European tour. More info: http://www.flipperrules.com |

In Response to What are you listening to?: What's playing on your CD player or ipod or stereo? Posted by nyadrn Tschaikovsky Piano Concerto #1. The very first recording of any kind I ever bought. I think it even might have been 78 rpm. Never owned a 45 rpm or 8 track tape but I do have many 33 1/3 and, of course, many CD's.

I had one for years before it finally died and it sounded great.. I love Adele as well. Her voice is wonderful. Do you like Amy Winehouse, another great English bluesy singer? Diane |
