Check out AARP's radio player: http://www.aarp.org/etc/aarp/statics/global/html/slacker-player.html. There's something for everyone: modern rock, R&B, jazz, country, Latin, oldies and more. I really enjoy having classical music play while I'm working. What's your favorite station? |

Posted by LynneG Its always nice to find another classical music lover! Our favorite station is WGBH in Boston. It goes on first thing in the morning. Good selections all day, and the commentary is excellent. www.WGBH.org from their homepage choose 99.5 All Classical, and you may need to press streaming radio.

In Response to Re: Has anyone tried AARP Internet Radio?: I do listen to AARP radio and enjoy it, but frankly I am somewhat disappointed. I would listen everyday if AARP would offer live programming. If I want to listen to much of what is included, I can find it anywhere. AARP should give us live programming such as call-in talk shows, age appropriate news and entertainment. I would love to hear talk about topics like social security and medicare. I'd like to call in with my comments about what our politicians are and are not doing This would give listeners a better sense of community through interaction. I have plenty of time and resources to find and enjoy almost anything I like on the radio or television. From AARP I want a senior-centered interactive community. Posted by MrWhit Live programming would be a great addition. |
