In Response to What movie would you remake?: Lately, Hollywood has not come up with an ORIGINAL IDEA for movie making . Instead, they remake classic movies or add sequels to classics and in almost all cases, - they fail. Why not remake BAD old movies ? I would love to see Sidney Sheldon's "The Other Side of Midnight" remade. Even though I liked the first one, many critics and audiences did not. Also, they can get away with much more now than in 1977. Posted by Paris55 Nice thought and in a fact a good idea for producers to experiment with. Never seen such an attempt made of remaking a bad movie and this is more unlikely to happen because I am sure they will not gamble with such an attempt in fear of loosing. I personally feel the remake of "The Other Side of Midnight" would be wonderful. Let's hope that such a thought do hit their minds. |

You are absolutely correct!! Whatever happened to ORIGINALITY?? In Response to Re: What movie would you remake?: None. Furthermore, any remake of a movie should not be eligible for an Oscar in any category. Posted by rceggl |
