I absolutely enjoyed the film without having read the books......yet. The first one is on deck on my night stand! Jennifer Lawrence's performance as Katniss Everdeen makes the film. The supporting acting is tremendous but the lead role was critical. Very well cast. I am looking forward to the next movie and reading the series this summer.

Definitely for adults as well. I went last weekend with my 14 yo granddaughter, with some trepidation, as I had heard all the 'violence' hype. She loved the movie (4 times worth) and I have to admit it did not fall short in suspense or acting. It was great to share an interest with Katie. Now, I've promised to read the book.

I believe it is for all ages. There is a little scary stuff in there, but I work at a movie theatre and I see many adults and teens going in. The teen population won out this week because of other movies we had that were rated "R" and they couldn't get in to see them. The went to hunger games instead. But lots of adults have been going to see it.

"The Hunger Games" was an ok film--the violence wasn't graphic. The film ended satisfactorily. No, I haven't read the book.
