We Bought a Zoo

|Another family style movie. What could be more fun than living in the zoo. After mom passed, dad was left and two young children, the oldest around 11 and the youngest about 5. Matt Damian, as the dad, played a very believable part. It was all about moving into the rural area, and buying a zoo. This one had one sad event which did bring tears to my eyes. Because of the children in the movie, I really think this could be enjoyed by every age group. This unique movie, showed the least amount of people and what it takes to maintain a zoo. Since the dad was not at all experienced in running a zoo, it almost became a manual for running a zoo for both the help and the audience. Scarlet Johannson played the part of the zookeeper. She showed the most knowledge regarding the animals, and the other needs that had to be met in order for the zoo to operate; and at least make enough money to keep it open. It was a very moving and enjoyable movie.|
