This weekend (Sept. 22-23) is the National Book Festival on the Mall in D.C. ... Borrowing from a Facebook post that's making the rounds now ... Grab the book you're currently reading (and/or the closest book), turn to page 52 and post the fifth sentence below. ... Be sure to Include the book title and author's name. ... Happy page-turning! ... P.S. Am hoping somebody posts the sentence from "50 Shades of Grey" ... if it's suitable, that is. :-)

"He yanked the knife out of his foot, and Delores cleaned and wrapped his foot with kitchen towels."

Really neat to see these quick excepts from what folks are reading - quite a few of these have piqued my interest and have me adding to my already-too-long to-read list. Smile

Hey. I borrowed "Fifty Shades of Grey" for a few minutes from a co-worker to find the quote. :-) (Again, I didn't buy it or check it out from the library! lol. Just borrowed it for a few minutes. Really. )

The actual fifth sentence is part of a longer quote ("You never cry," she says, her voice softening.) that inlcudes the fourth sentence before it on the page too.

The sentence after that is: "She stands, her green eyes briming with concern."

Yawn! ... Nothing steamy at all. :-)
