My first ebook was an Amazon wifi-3g. I was very happy with it. I could read anywhere with it.

To replace it I bought the Color Nook. I miss the 3g. IMy ColorNook screen is very refective. I have to choose my spots to read at; inside or outside.
Both Amazon and Barnes and Noble treat me very good. I like buying books untill I have to pay for them.
I prefer scouting books at my local BN Bookstore and then ordering and waiting for the books from the library.

My bottom line is: Reading down the ebook pages are much more user friendly to me than reading across and back etc.
Back in "58 or so I took the Evelyn Wood speed reading course in NYC. My ebooks helped by getting me back to that best and easiest way for me to read. I download free ebooks from libraries if I can.

[I wondered about the Nook after I bought the Kindle Fire as a gift for someone. Now I feel more confident that I chose correctly. Thanks!

I bought my Kindle Fire the day it came out. It was getting harder and harder for me to read books without squinting and getting very tired. Since I've had my Kindle I've been able to read for much longer periods and enjoy reading so much more.

i decided on the Kindle Fire so that I wouldn't have to use a light with it and I can read everywhere. It was definately the rigt choise for me. At $199. you have quite a lot in a small package.

I have a Kindle keyboard and love it.  My only challenge is finding a reasonably priced cover.  Amazon prices for covers are quite high.

I love my kindle with keyboard.  I did get a zippered cover from amazon, think is was like 19 $$$ .  Worth the price as it keeps it clean and protected and easy to put in purse to take with you.

How do you like the Kindle Fire???? .  I'm saving for one.  Do you have to pay extra for the movies, music, email and all the other things it has besides the books.  Color sounds nice.  It looks like it is the same size as the kindle.

Personally I have a basic Nook which I purchased several years ago and it suits me perfectly.  I do buy lots of e-books, more than print because they cost less and e-readers are convenient for traveling and seem easier on my eyes.  I always take mine when traveling.  Last year I spent a good amount of time on the beach in Sydney and there was no glare at all with the Nook.  I could read it perfectly.  I haven't any interest in the Kindle Fire or ColorNook   I haven't really researched them but have heard complaints from acquaintances that got the ColorNook.  I think if I was interested in replacing my current Nook I'd just get a iPad and be done with it. :)

I don't have one yet but I think I may be ready to buy the Kindle Fire....but it does seem to me that each one has it own positives and negatives about and it's tough to decide which is better over the other until you actually get one and use it for awhile...(sigh much like everything else in life!) ...
