In Response to Re: The Kindle - Nook Challenge: My first ebook was an Amazon wifi-3g. I was very happy with it. I could read anywhere with it. To replace it I bought the Color Nook. I miss the 3g. . IMy ColorNook screen is very refective. I have to choose my spots to read at; inside or outside. Both Amazon and Barnes and Noble treat me very good. I like buying books untill I have to pay for them. I prefer scouting books at my local BN Bookstore and then ordering and waiting for the books from the library. 99% Posted by rfayhallock My bottom line is: Reading down the ebook pages are much more user friendly to me than reading across and back etc. Back in "58 or so I took the Evelyn Wood speed reading course in NYC. My ebooks helped by getting me back to that best and easiest way for me to read. I download free ebooks from libraries if I can. azbob 99%

In Response to Re: The Kindle - Nook Challenge: I have a Kindle keyboard and love it. My only challenge is finding a reasonably priced cover. Amazon prices for covers are quite high. Posted by lgmahon I love my kindle with keyboard. I did get a zippered cover from amazon, think is was like 19 $$$ . Worth the price as it keeps it clean and protected and easy to put in purse to take with you. |

In Response to Re: The Kindle - Nook Challenge: I bought my Kindle Fire the day it came out. It was getting harder and harder for me to read books without squinting and getting very tired. Since I've had my Kindle I've been able to read for much longer periods and enjoy reading so much more. i decided on the Kindle Fire so that I wouldn't have to use a light with it and I can read everywhere. It was definately the rigt choise for me. At $199. you have quite a lot in a small package. Posted by elainejoyce How do you like the Kindle Fire???? . I'm saving for one. Do you have to pay extra for the movies, music, email and all the other things it has besides the books. Color sounds nice. It looks like it is the same size as the kindle. |
