Has anyone read the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon?  Would love to discuss this series.

Yes, I read the whole series many years ago, still one of my favorites.

One of my all time favorites "The Sword of Truth - Series by Terry Goodkind,   if you haven't read them, you must start with the first one "Wizard First Rule"   exceclelnt.

I have started the first in the series, the book titled Outlander and am about 1/2 way through.  Interesting premise and a engaging read.  The primary character, Claire, is easy to follow and enjoy her perspectives.  I've bought two more in the series to read later.

I always have a book going - & like some others have said read just about everything excluding westerns & romance.  I had never been a big fan of war-related books, but my son finished a book & gave it to me, saying it was a really excellent book, & he thought I would like it too.  I started it, & like he said, it's excellent AND a true story by :Laura Hillenbrand, titled UNBROKEN.  If you read it I can assure you that you will at times be unable to put it down.  It's about Louis Zamperini, who was an Olympic runner, then in the Air Force in World War 2, whose plane crashed & was then afloat in a raft for 47 days before being captured by the Japanese & was a POW until the war ended under almost unbearable conditions. No wonder it was #1 as a New York Times bestseller.  It really is "A Great Read."

I enjoy reading anything by Caroline Myss and Dan Brown.  I am currently raeding Angels and Demons by Dan Brown.  I really enjoy it.  I'm getting more into mysteries.  I'll need to post these later since I don't recall off hand what the titles are.  More later

Hi everybody. I'm new at this posting. The subject of great reads got my attention. I am in the process of reading three books. I flip from one to the other until I am finished with all three.

The titles are:
1: Lord, Change My Attitude Before It Is Too Late, by James MacDonald
2. Has Christianity Failed You? by Ravi Zacharias
3. Experience God As Your Provider, by Brian Kluth

These are all very good read books.

However, I have completed a forth book, and it just happens to be one that I wrote. The title is:

So You Say You Are A Christian! Do You Know Who You Really Are?

I love reading and writing. This is my first book. I hope you will all purchase a copy and give a
review afterwards.

God bless you!

one of my very favorite books is "April 1865, The Month That Saved America" by Jay Winik.    While I was reading it I could not believe how fortunate we were to have the leaders we had, on both sides of this horrible war.   why didn't we end up like Bosnia, fighting the same war over and over again?   This book explains why and you are unable to put the book down and end up so thankful great men lived at that time.

One of my favorite authors is Ferrol Sams
.
' Run with the Horsemen', 'The Whisper of the River' and 'When All the World Was Young', are fantastic reads. Very engaging, funny, true to life story of Porter Osborn Jr.

Then there is  ' The Widows Mite',  very funny.
