In Response to Re: What was your favorite fairy story or children's story as a child and how can you relate it to your life today.: I was raised in a community without a library. Our school library was so small it filled a wall that was about 20 feet wide. I learned to appreciate the value of a book early on and every christmas or birthday had a book wrapped for me. I remember reading books my mother lover. Freckles and the Ann of Green Gables. The Hardy Boys, Bobsey Twins and Ann Drew followed. The wonder of books carried me to places I would not get to visit until I retired. If there is a better gift, I cannot imagine what it would be. b
